 Today we practiced using prior knowledge when reading, and reviewed how to find main ideas.

There will be online homework assigned later this week; it will be due next Monday.

I hope the students enjoy the field trip.

 Today we finished the vocabulary, finished the story, and went over pronouns and antecedents, and reviewed generalizations. Tonight's homework is to write words 17-25 five times, write a sentence and the definition for each word, and to finish RWN pages 258, 261, and 268. The unit test is tomorrow; it will cover vocabulary from last week and this week, the unit grammar, reading strategies, and questions about the story.

 Today we had the unit test. This weekend's homework is to finish page 424 in RWN, and to write a 300 word journal entry about a disaster. The exams start next week; the exam scope was sent home with the A1 students.
