Xinmin Grade 6

 Today we had the quiz for The Mystery of Saint Matthew Island, and then the students had a chance to work on their speech for the Oral Exam next week. This weekend's homework is to study for the exams, and specifically they have to finish their speech about their Xinmin memories and practice it before the Oral Exam on Thursday.

 Today we worked with conjunctions and discussed the upcoming exams. The Oral Exams will be on Thursday and Friday next week, April 6 and 7. because of the long weekend, the Listening Exam will be on Monday. April 10 during class time. The Written Exam will be on Tuesday, April 11.

 Today we worked on the new vocabulary and discussed word endings, and what they can tell us about the meaning of words. Tonight's homework is to do page 402 in RWN, and to write the vocabulary 3x for 603 and 5x for 604, write the definitions, and write a sentence for each word.

 Today we took the unit test for Ghost Towns of the American West. Tonight's homework is to correct the RWN.

 Today we went over adverbs and reviewed how to write a summary in class. Tonight's homework is to do RWN 361, 363, and 370, and study for tomorrow's unit test.

 Today we continued with the vocabulary and finished the story. Tonight's homework is 603 students have to write the words 3x, and 604 students have to write the words 5x, and both classes have to write a sentence and the definition for each word.

 Today we started the words for the second week of Ghost Towns of the American West. For tonight's homework, 603 has to write the words 3x each, and 604 has to write the words 5x each. All of the students have to write the definition and write a sentence for each word.

 This weekend's homework is writing a 250 word journal entry about the weekend.

 Today we took the unit test for Journey to the Center of the Earth. The Unit test for Talk With an Astronaut was returned today. Please sign it and return it on Monday.  This weekend's homework is to correct the test, and to write a 200-250 word journal about what the students would do if they were in the story A Journey to the Center of the Earth.
