Today we started on the new story, Sweet Music in Harlem. Tonight's homework is to write each word two times, write the definition, and write a sentence for each word. We covered the first nine words in the communication book.
Today we practiced using prior knowledge when reading, and reviewed how to find main ideas. There will be online homework assigned later this week; it will be due next Monday. I hope the students enjoy the field trip.
