Xinmin Grade 6

 Today we worked with suffixes and took the first quiz for the new unit. This weekend's homework is to page 413 in RWN, and correct any pages in RWN that haven't been corrected this semester. The students need to make a list of the pages they correct.

 Today we discussed the Latin roots of English words. The homework is to do pages 411 and 416 in RWN, and to study for the quiz tomorrow.

 Today we continued with the new vocabulary. tonight's homework is to write the words 3x for 604 and 5x for 603, write a sentence and write the definition for each word.

 Today we continued with the new vocabulary and reviewed compare/contrast, and then discussed ways that an author can structure a story with comparing and contrasting. Tonight's homework is for 604 to write the new words 3x, 603 write the words 5x, write the definition and a sentence for each word, and to do page 407 in RWN.

 Today we started the new unit. Tonight's homework is to write the new vocabulary words 3x each for 603 and 5x each for 604, write the definitions and a sentence for each word. The students also have to do page 409 in RWN.

 Today we took worked in the RWN and took the unit test. This weekend's homework is to correct the quiz that was returned yesterday, and to write a 200 word journal about anything the student wishes.

 Today we finished the story.  Tomorrow we have the unit TEST; we did the first week of this unit before the exams. Tonight's homework is to do page 406 in RWN and study for the test.

 Today we continued with the new vocabulary and started reading the story. Tonight's homework is to write each word 3x for 604 and 5x for 603, write the definition, and draw a picture for each word. There will be a unit test on Friday.

We didn't have class today because of the field trip. The students had a lot of fun at Leofoo today. There is no extra homework for tonight. Please finish Monday's homework if it isn't finished already.

 Today we started the second week for The Secret of Saint Matthew Island. W covered thirteen words today. Tonight's homework is to write each word three times for 603, or five times for 604, write the definition, and write a sentence for each word.

 The exams were sent home today. Please sign them and return them on Monday. This weekend's homework is to finish the book report on the book the students read in the library today.

 Today we reviewed the Written Exam worked on correcting common errors. Tonight's homework is to finish pages 24 and 25 of the Daily Fix-it.

 Today we reviewed the listening exam. There is no homework tonight so the students can study for their exams tomorrow.

 Today we had one class due to the exams. The students reviewed the story Journey to the Center of the Earth, and practiced the play in the unit. The students took the Written Exam today. Tonight's homework is to study for the other exams this week.

 Today we didn't have levelled classes. The students took the Listening Exam in their homerooms during the scheduled English class period. The Written Exam is tomorrow; the students should study for that exam tonight.

 The Oral Exams were finished today. This weekend's homework is to study for the exams next week. The Listening Exam is Monday during English Class, and the Written Exam is Tuesday. A Talk with an Astronaut, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Ghost Towns of the American West will be on the exam.

 Today we started the Oral Exam. The students who didn't take the test today will take it tomorrow. Tonight's homework is to study for the exams next week, and practice for the Oral Exam for the students did not get to take it today.
